Acting I, ages 7-10 – Tuesday 6:00-7:00

TUESDAY  

Acting I – ages 7-10, 6:00-7:00  (Meets at Avon Middle School North, door #6.) This class introduces beginning actors to the theatre with activities and games that get them on their feet using their voices and bodies to create characters while learning stage terms, concentration and skills that will improve speaking and help them gain confidence. They will participate in scene work, memorizing lines while honing their acting skills. uses monologues, pantomime, concentration games and theater activities to improve students’ public speaking and stage movement. Scenes and monologues are used to work on character development and memorization skills. Students enrolled in this class must be able to read well.

 

Classes begin on Tuesday, January 21st and will run through May 13th. Class will NOT meet on  March 25th and April 1st due to spring break. Class on Feb. 26th and May 14th will be meeting on WEDNESDAY instead of Tuesday due to conflicts at The Biz. Acting classes will meet at Avon Middle School North, door #6. Please note this information on your calendar!
