Alexandria Van Paris was born and raised in Avon, Indiana, where she began performing at the age of six and has been performing ever since in professional theaters around the country. She has also choreographed productions at The Biz, Summer Stock Stage, and Eclipse Theater in the Indianapolis area.  She is also currently teaching dance at the New York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts as well as her own classes at various studios in New York City.  Alexandria holds a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Ball State University and now calls Bloomfield, NJ her home. As a member of the Actors Equity Association, she has performed professionally in Maine, Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio, New Jersey, South Carolina, Indiana, Wyoming, Illinois, Massachusetts, and New York City.  Favorite credits include: Swing in the Pre-Broadway Lab Revival of Crazy For You with Tony Award-Winning director/choreographer, Susan Stroman; Tess in Crazy For You (Ogunquit Playhouse); Cassie in A Chorus Line (Flat Rock Playhouse); Sheila in A Chorus Line (Arts Center of Coastal Carolina), Bombalurina in Cats (Beef & Boards); Velma Kelly in Chicago (The Legacy Theatre); and Jean Harlow in the World Premiere of Chasing Rainbows: Road to Oz (Flat Rock Playhouse). Locally, you may have seen her on stage with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s annual Yuletide Celebration, as well as Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre in Chicago and Cats, and coming up you can see her as Angie in Summer Stock Stage’s production of THE PROM running May 29th-June 8th at The Schrott Center for the Arts.  She is always thrilled to “come back home” to the Biz to help the youth of Indiana learn about the “real” side of the musical theatre business and give them tools to mold them into well-rounded, triple threats.
