Opening Night

Opening Night is Here! We made it! I am so proud of all of my cast members and volunteers who helped make Dear Edwina possible. This is going to be an amazing show.  The cast has worked very hard these last two months and I know you are all anxious to see the show tonight. I just want to go over a few items so we are all on the same page. 

Call time is 1 1/2 hours before curtain (the time the show begins).  If possible, I’d like mic’ed characters to arrive 2 hours before curtain. Cast members are to enter thru the Stage Door for all performances and go directly to their dressing rooms to start getting ready. The lobby will be open for family and friends, however, the doors to the house (seating area) will not open until 30 minutes before the start of the performance. There is NO saving of seats prior to the opening of the house. You can purchase tickets at the door using cash or check. There will be a BRAVO Table to purchase items to leave in your cast members BRAVO Bag, as well as a concession, stand with lots of yummy treats!

Parents, after the performance and before you leave, please make sure your cast member has all of their costumes pieces accounted for and properly put away.  If they are missing an item, please inform the costume mistresses so we can have ample time to locate the item before the next performance. Please remember we are guests at Harmony and we need to be respectful of their building. 

Phone Policy – THERE ARE TO BE NO PHONES OUT IN THE DRESSING ROOMS. Please talk to your cast member about staying off their phones while in the dressing room. If an adult sees a phone out in the dressing room it will be confiscated. Taking pictures will fellow cast members in the hallway is the only acceptable use of phones and only before or after the performance. No watching videos or playing games.  We need to keep our focus on the performance. Please make sure you talk to your cast member about this. 

It is a tradition to gather somewhere following a performance. This is not mandatory although your cast member will probably want to attend them all. You can find all this information via remind and on the rehearsal schedule. 

Don’t forget the cast party is this Sunday following the performance at the large shelter at Washington Township Park.  Please make sure to RSVP and sign up for the pitch in.
